Day 2 of my Hawaii adventure was going to be pretty hectic as we were going to see if we could drive the circumference of the island today.
There was no time for the bacon/egg breakfast… instead I settled on one of these bad boys… If you like muesli bars and peanut butter… this is a handful of heaven!

Cruised around top down for most of the trip

There’s plenty of mountains/dormant volcanoes around Oahu.

Me n the ’stang (I must say… this fits me better than the MX5… but I can’t see myself owning one)

We went to Hanauma Bay this morning, it was basically a sunken volcano… a reef now sits in the middle of it and it is an oasis for fish/sealife as well as a heritage listed sanctuary.
We went for a snorkel here, I gotta say… Port Douglas is eleventy billion times the awesome of this place but it’s still nice and worthy of a visit if you’re in the area.

After Hanauma Bay, we headed north towards Turtle Bay… We saw some pretty huge clouds gathering in the north amongst the mountain tops.

But it was sunny on our side of the mountain…

We finally made it to Turtle Bay just before the rain dumped on us. This place is very impressive! The golf course here is world class.

Just around the corner from Turtle Bay is the fabled pipeline strip where it’s world famous for the Pipeline waves. We got here a few hours too late as the Volcom Pro event was on earlier in the morning.

There was a small town nearby and we stopped over to have some dinner (first proper meal of the day)

It was the first time we embarked on Mexican food this trip… Seeing as we had a convertible anyway… the gas eruptions on our drive home would be bearable if it happened.
