We were awake by 3:30am Sydney time and our body clock was still royally screwed for the trip to the west. We were greeted with a nice view of the river from our room at the Hyatt.

First things first and breakfast in the town was a must… we strolled around the city after we struggled to find parking in Perth City (15 minute parking limit in the city on a WEEKEND… seriously Perth… what the hell?). We stumbled upon this nice cafe near the boutiques section (Tiffany’s was across the road from memory).

We had some time to kill so we drove around Perth and our trusty GPS guided us to the Station Street Markets.

This was reminiscent of our Pastry tour of Japan a few months earlier

After 4 solid hours of driving in a southerly direction, we eventually made it to Dunsborough (we stayed at the Quay West in Bunker Bay).
It was a stunning 2 bedrom lodge.

Unfortunately we didn’t make it to the ceremony (after travelling 5000km, we ended up turning up to the wedding asian time anyway)… The ceremony was held in a winery in Dunsborough about 5 minutes from our lodge at the base of the function centre.

There were fortune cookies at each placement…

What were the odds of us turning up in the same suit & tie?
