Had a shitfight at work today and was faced with escalation after escalation… I figured 10 hours of that was enough for the day… I did have a hot man-date with Rhys (a colleague of mine from work who is into a lot of the same shit that I am as well as a whole of of stuff I’m unaware of).
Rock on.
7pm, we walked out of work and the night was freezing… I was expecting the sight of emperor penguins to complement the weather that smacked us in the face as we left our building (with malfunctioning air conditioning).
With our guts filled with a deluxe fine dining experience from Oporto’s at St Leonards station.. we punched on to Olympic Park on Sydney’s Silver Limousine for the masses (also known as ShittyRail).
We walked about 1000km to the other end of the stadium that the train station was on and when we got there… we had to climb a number of escalators to bring us up to the “nosebleed” section of the stadium. The cold and the height that we were seated truly felt like a Himalayan mountaineering expedition.

The view wasn’t too bad from our seats as long as you squint (being Asian, this is the natural state of my eyes anyway so my view was a perfect 16:9 widescreen)

I experimented with my new camera and took some vids from this evening (in high-def mode). I didn’t realise until 4 minutes ago that my 6 minute vid of the Socceroos clammering around the goal was 700mb in size. Finding a file converter for the format that my camera captured the video in is slightly more difficult than I imagined it would be.
The Socceroos played boring football in the first half… no real attack or sense of urgency. Luckily that all changed in the second half

Good photos, Lots of japanese advertising in the second shot eh. Epson, Pocari Sweat and Kirin beer? I guess Soccer is pretty big in Japan maybe that’s why?
