Withdrawl Symptoms from Japan Trip

We finished work late tonight and didn’t really have time to cook a meal before needing to hit the sack immediately afterwards. We missed the food and the “good times” we had in Japan just over 2 weeks ago now and needed some injection of Japanese stat!
Around the corner from my workplace is this little [...]

Rainbows & Skyscrapers

It was a punishing day at work today… It was just one issue after another and the minutes seemed to drag on for an eternity.
When I dragged myself out of work and drove through North Sydney… I wasn’t expecting this to lift my spirits for the evening…

I guess there’s a resident midget in a green outfit [...]

MX5 visits the Doctors

My pride and joy was due for her 180k km service today so I squeezed in an appointment with MX5 Mania in Hornsby before work.

Early morning and their workshop is choc-a-block full of MX5s including the best 2nd Generation model… the silver one pictured below

After the regular oil change and fluid checks… we looked deeper [...]

This is Polly’s second last game with us before flying off to the Philipines for a couple of years… We battled valiantly but lost out in the end…

Playing with my new camera

Playing around with my new camera and took some shots today to test it out…
The 3″ LCD Screen is absolutely amazing… the images were super crips and the colours were vibrant.
Here’s a pic of my new watch I bought about a week ago

Breakfast, Dragonball & My (other) New Toy

For some really strange reason… we woke up this morning completely and utterly smashed… at 11am…
This is strange for two reasons… firstly my sleep ins never really go past 9am (that’s when some folks actually make it to bed on a Sunday)
And secondly… I had a splitting migrane… I’d imagine this is what it feels [...]

Unpacking some goodies from my trip

I’ve been home for the past few days now and I’ve been getting some pretty bad withdrawl symptoms from my trip… I miss Japan.. The pastry tour ended a bit too soon…
However, one of the highlights of my homecoming is the unpacking of the various treasures I’ve accumulated during my journey to the land of [...]

Gold Coast & Brisbane

We finally arrived on Australian soil again and we were greeted with warm sunny Gold Coast skies and it was nice to have some humidity in the air (the air in Japan was very very dry).

Last day in Japan

So today was the last day we were to spend in Japan… our flight departs from Osaka around 8:55pm this evening so it left us with plenty of time to explore the city one last time.
We picked up some supplies at the fruit shop in front of our hotel… This place sells fruit at relatively [...]

Shopping in Osaka

Today was already the second last day that we’ll be spending in Japan and a big day was planned to cover as much of Osaka as we could. We got up early and started making our way to Tenma Station via the Osaka JR line to pay a visit to Osaka’s version of Akihabara (electric [...]
